Cancellation fee latest 8 days before arrival 50% of the total booking value. 8 days later and no-show fee 100%.

Terms & conditions for weekly safaris
The following terms and conditions shall be applied for Weekly Safaris offered and delivered during 2011-2012 by Lapland Safaris AC Ltd, Lapland Safaris North Ltd and Lapland Safaris West Ltd hereinafter referred to as the "DMC") thru its Weekly Safari Programmes in following destinations: Rovaniemi, Levi, Ylläs, Saariselkä.
Services and Prices:
The prices and the services offered and to be delivered by the DMC under these Terms & Conditions for Weekly Safaris 2011 – 2012 are set out in the program descriptions for each service. The given prices include VAT.
The DMC reserves the right to change the prices in case of any unforeseen increases in costs (including but not limited to taxes, fuel prices etc.) beyond the DMC’s control.
Reservation:
Reservation received by the DMC is considered as confirmed upon receipt of payment. Payment can be made by Visa or Mastercard.
Cancellation terms:
Total cancellation
More than 7 days prior to the arrival no charge
7-1 days prior to the arrival or no show 100% of the total amount

Changes:
All changes or alterations to be made to the reservation shall be made in writing within office hours in Finland. The requested changes are subject to the DMCs written approval.
Child Policy:
For children of age 4-14 years the DMC will apply special child rates.
Pregnant women:
Pregnant women should not use the snowmobile or the sledge pulled by the snowmobile as the vibrations and exhaust fumes may be harmful. If the programme requires special organisation (e.g. additional transport), the DMC shall not be responsible for the possible extra costs.
Liability, Insurance and Indemnities
Liability insurance
The DMC has a public liability insurance. All of the sub-contractors used by the DMC shall have valid public liability insurances.
Motor liability insurance
All the coaches or other motorized transport vehicles used in traffic in Finland have valid motor liability insurance. Compensation for any damages or injury resulting from a road accident is paid by the motor liability insurance of the vehicle that caused the accident. Under the provisions, any person suffering bodily injuries is entitled to receive compensation for the cost of medical treatment, pain and suffering, and handicap. But if an injured party has willfully or out of gross negligence caused his/her own injury, the injured party is not entitled to compensation.
Snowmobiles in safaris
The snowmobiles used in safaris are insured as required by Finnish law. This insurance covers medical care for injuries of the driver and the passenger arising from the accidents.
Safari participants are held liable for damages caused to snowmobiles. The amount of personal liability is max. EUR 505 per snowmobile in case of an accident. The DMC shall always be notified in writing if all participants have personal self liability or if one person in the group signs for the whole group.
The driver of the snowmobile must be at least 18 years of age and in possession of a valid driver’s license. Finnish law prohibits driving a snowmobile under the influence of alcohol. As the responsible safari organizer, the DMC reserves the right to change the routing, schedules and duration of the excursions if necessary, due to prevailing weather conditions, or if deemed advisable due to safety reasons and the comfort of the participants. The DMC also reserves the right to discontinue the safari if a participant is seen as a potential danger to him/herself or to others, or is in poor health.
Other injuries
The DMC may only be held liable for personal injuries or material damage arising from accidents that have happened during the delivery of the offered services under this contract and which are caused by negligence of the DMC or its employees or sub-contractors or by the provision of faulty equipment. Personal travel insurance is always highly recommended.
Insurance documents are available upon request.
In the event of material substandard service and delivery by the DMC and its staff, the DMC will be liable to compensate the Client only the direct damages of such default, however in maximum up to the price of the offered service of which the substandard service and delivery concerns. The compensation application will be handled together between the Client and the DMC against the written request made by final consumer.
Governing Law and Jurisdiction:
This document of Terms & Conditions for Weekly Safaris 2011 – 2012, the Weekly Safari Programmes and any other documents in connection with them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with Finnish Law.
The Finnish courts shall have the exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute, controversy or claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms & Conditions for Weekly Safaris 2011 – 2012 (including a dispute regarding the existence, validity or termination of these Terms & Conditions for Weekly Safaris 2011 – 2012). The District Court of Rovaniemi shall be the court of first instance.
Force Majeure:
The DMC shall not be held liable for any default, damage or loss due to a condition force majeure or to unreasonable impairment of the DMC’s operations due to a similar cause (including but not limited to war, strike, weather or other natural condition etc.).
If encountered a force majeure condition, the DMC shall immediately notify the guest in writing thereof, and shall keep the guest fully informed of the continuance of the force majeure condition and of any relevant change of circumstances whilst such force majeure continues.
When encountered a force major conditions the DMC shall also take all reasonable steps available to it to minimize the effects of the force majeure on the performance of its obligations under this contractual relationship.
